Small Business Saturday: Shop Small

It’s that time of year again when we get bombarded by Black Friday deals from the biggest retailers. It’s become so crazy and competitive that stores have decided to start Black Friday on Thanksgiving, making the holiday more about sales and deals than family and friends. Those $5 sweaters that you score may seem great now, but will most likely be in the donation pile next year. Why not give gifts that last and people will treasure? Why not shop small this year and keep your money in your neighborhood? By buying just a few gifts from small businesses this holiday season, you’ll be making a huge difference. You may not find sales like at the big department stores, but you will find one-of-a-kind treasures that will wow.

What are your favorite small businesses you’ll be supporting this year?

Here are a few favorite small businesses around the country that feature amazing gifts:

Finders Keepers ~ Spokane, WA {Find exquisite, one-of-a-kind accessories and vintage and contemporary gowns. Think of it as a giant, well merchandised estate sale where you’re sure to find something you’ll love.
