What to Wear for the Holidays

Every year I’m faced with this (maybe ridiculous) dilemma of what to wear for holiday festivities, particularly, Thanksgiving Day. This is the time of year when you see family you haven’t seen in a year (or more), and you want to dress to impress. After all, it is a holiday! But everything in your closest seems old and uninspiring. Here are a few looks to give you that holiday feeling and make you feel great, even if you indulge a little too much!

Let’s be honest, leggings are a must for a Thanksgiving feast. To avoid looking too under dressed, throw on a fun dress with a little texture or color; nothing too fancy. If your toes are likely to get cold, choose some cute socks to wear over your leggings. (You’ll still look good without shoes). Keep a cardigan close by just in case, but make it pop!

Leggings and sweatshirts have never been so chic! You can feel comfortable and still look amazing in these sequin leggings and embellished sweatshirt. Add in a silk blouse for some color and complete with the perfect bootie.

I love when designers take a humdrum piece, like the jogging pant, and make it one of the most desirable silhouettes (and perfect for feasting!). Mixing is still very much on trend; an unexpected tee and a simple flat are the perfect accomplices to pull off this trendy pant. Add a cardigan that adds dimension without competing with the rest of your ensem.
