Marissa Webb

It’s all about contrast this season: sheer cargo vests layered over crop tops and fluttery dresses; deconstructed trench coats converted into dresses and skirts, layered over sheer fabrics; and boyfriend blazers layered over feminine blouses and dresses. Strategic ruching, pick-ups and belts accentuate the feminine shape, no matter if the fabric or details may suggest otherwise. She has some killer skinny denim jeans (that look amazing with the short trench coat, BTW) that let you know the city skinnies are here to stay, even if leg openings are getting wider. And who could miss those laser cut, cowboy boot inspired shoes that gave every look a ridiculously cool edge?! And this is why Marissa Webb will forever be one of my favs.

BCBG Max Azria

Feminine and flirty is how I would describe BCBG’s SS15 collection. Layers of gossamer fabrics that flutter in the breeze, contrasted with structured jackets and finished with obi belts. Sun-bleached and organic floral, stripe and scarf prints are perfectly elegant on the floor-length gowns. Uneven hems, culottes and kimono sleeves add to the womanly sensibility. This collection is perfect for any bohemian princess.

Creatures of Comfort
This SS15 collection takes us on a serene adventure through the untamed wilderness. The fabrics of linen, canvas and lightweight knits appear as if they came from the earth and trees to outfit this venture. Without being too folksy, Jade Lai produces a collection of wide leg trousers, cargo vests, and oversized, lived-in trench coats that celebrates this relaxed mentality. While some silhouettes lean more masculine, the way the pieces are layered and drape keep the collection incredibly feminine.
